UNA Educators

Members of the UNA Educators Affinity Group promote the work of the UN and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the classroom and share best practices. Participation in UNA Educators is open to any current UNA member who is affiliated with a K-16 education program or school. Once you have joined as a UNA member, you may then request access to the UNA Educator Affinity group on Facebook.

Affinity Group Activities

  • Facebook Group DiscussionsUNA Educators will be able to connect with their colleagues from around the U.S. through a private Facebook group open only to members. This will be a platform to ask questions, share best practices, and develop a network of globally-minded peers. Join the Facebook group here.
  • Quarterly CallsUNA will coordinate quarterly calls for the UNA Educators network to share best practices and learn about new and emerging trends in teaching the SDGs.
  • Monthly Resource EmailsUNA staff will compile a monthly newsletter customized with educational tools and information for educators to use in the classroom.
  • Professional Development UNA Educators are invited to the annual Global Engagement Summit at the UN each February and the Global Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. each June. These events will offer additional opportunities for educators to learn about the Sustainable Development Goals, and possible lessons to bring back to their students.
