In August 2019, the nation grappled with the news of two mass shootings that occurred in the span of just 14 hours—the first in El Paso, Texas, and the second in Dayton, Ohio. UNA hosted a virtual UPR consultation to provide a forum for Americans to share their recommendations as to how the U.S. can end widespread gun violence.
